DAY425 [渡英371日] 2021年5月30日（日）：Oxford University Newcomers Club，The Victoria
Oxford University New Comers clubのmeet up。屋外で会うのは1年ぶり。ただ，いざOxford University Parksに行くと，ご婦人が一人しかいない。聞くと今日の集まりは事前連絡によれば我々だけらしい…。それなら中止してくれる方がよいのではとも思ってしまう。ただ，しばらく話していると日本人と外国人のご夫婦がやってきて，次にトルコ人の家族がやってきて合計３世帯，コーディネーターを含めて12名であった。ただ，外での集まりとはいえ，ソーシャル・ディスタンスを確保しているため微妙に距離があり，会話が聞きづらい。
2時間ほどいたが，会話の聞き取りも含めて緊張感からか疲れてしまった。一息つくためにpub Victoriaに入ったものの，子供は18時までしかいてはならず，正味1時間の滞在での勝負。テーブルで携帯を用いてオーダーするが，分かりづらいアプリで手間取った。ここのパブオリジナルのビールを注文。ジンジャーと蜂蜜が入ったような甘いビールで，昔のニッキ飴にあったような味。

It's been a year since we met outdoors at the Oxford University New Comers club meet-up. It's been a year since we met outdoors, but when we got to Oxford University Parks, there was only one lady there. She told me that we were the only ones who could contact in advance. I thought it would be better to cancel the meeting. But after a while, a Japanese and a foreign couple came to the meeting, and then a Turkish family came. However, even though it was a gathering outside, it was difficult to hear the conversation because of the social distance.
I was there for about two hours, but I was tired from the tension, including listening to the conversation. Though we went into pub Victoria to take a break, the kids were only allowed to stay until 6pm, so we only had an hour. We ordered at a table using a mobile phone, but the app was not easy to understand(not user friendly). We ordered the original beer of this pub. It's a sweet beer with ginger and honey, just like the old Nikki candy.
