I drove to Kidlington football club, where a football class for kids would hold. It took 20 minutes driver, but I was not familiar with it around here and was nervous. Arriving at 15 minutes before starting, there was no one. Though the place was certainly the Kidlington football club, the class hold the place next to the pitch. 14 kids joined the class, and we watched from outside the place. Fortunately, it was raining at the end of the lesson. On the way home, we went to the petro station. However, I went the wrong way, so we went back to the road. I was used to driving but was a little bit tired.
I wonder if I am tired, so I slept until 6:30 am. Though the vaccination was said it had a side effect on the 2nd days after the dose, my wife had a good condition except that it was hard to the arm of the dose side lifts up.
As usual, I send my son to primary school, went back with the neighbour's dad, and went to the cafe. Besides, I met another kid dad. Drinking coffee, I walked along the river and planned today's work. Then I wrote an important email and sorted the data out.
In the morning, I drove to the Kassam Stadium to take my wife having a vaccination. Since car navigation didn't work well, so we sometimes went the wrong way. However, we arrived at the Studium for 20 minutes. She came back within 30 minutes. According to her, she had a dose by Pfizer, not AstraZeneca. That means will have the 2nd dose by Pfizer. Until now, she is a good condition. Anyway, I was tired because of driving.
I accepted the peer review of "Organizational Science". But, I suppose the manual pointed out not to order a peer review to Senior Editor.
I joined the presentation about the 8th round survey researched by Prof Dave Ulrich at 2:00-3:30 am by Webinar. This year, in addition to his son Mike David, Pat Wright joined the research. I think that's why Wright's concepts and conclusions were affected and insisted on the importance of strategic human capital. Being carefully writing, I wrote my feeling down about the webinar.
1）They insisted on the three main notions; the effects of HR competency, the capability of the HR department, and business capability on the performance.
2）HR competency only affected 3.5% to the performance, whilst HR competency mediated HR department capability to the performance(48.2%）and at the same time HR competency mediated business capability to the performance(48.3%) 3) This presentation didn't include the regional analysis(there were so many questions).
Lunch at The Anchor in an outdoor tent. I had a butter chicken kebab and a beer to get me ready for the afternoon. It's been a while since I've been to The Anchor, but I've noticed that ordering and payment is now made entirely by mobile phone (you can't tell by the service, as you have to tip at the ordering stage). The burnt flavours were mouth-watering.
I've finally made an appointment for my vaccinations. The first dose will be given next week on the 21st, and the second in August. It will definitely be AstraZeneca, but we'll see how it goes. I hope it won't be too bad as there is a lot of individual variation.
My wife went to the tea party in a church, which was invited by a Japanese woman whose kids were in the same primary school. During her absence, to plan the T4 research, I sorted notions used from T1 to T3 research up. It was a critical issue what variables should we use depends on the goodness of the research. Though I have much energy or ideas in my mind, my vitality has decreased year and year.
Though preparing for attending the seminar which will be held tomorrow, I bought "The honest real estate company" and "A short stories of the science fiction", there were so interesting that it was late for the sleeping time.
After taking lunch, I went for a walk on the way to buying a bottle of milk. Because I walk through Portmeadow, it took time to go. I walked today for an hour, bout 8000 steps walk.
When my son went back to primary school, his face was scar. According to his talk, at first, one friend played with his son, but two more boys came to my sons on his back; they pressed my son and hit the ground at that time. Since one of the teachers intervened kids, my son was safe. However, because of being poor in speaking English, my son had stress in primary school. This morning, my son said that he didn't want to go to primary school, so he was about to be late for school. What has happened in primary school? I have to observe him and ask him the reason.
My son requested to make the ultra eys, which is the tool for Ultraseven. Though my son was a favourite to this, the eyes position doesn't fit him. (He confessed that he dislike that in the evening!).
We went for a walk to Portmeadow and Jericho street. It was warm, so many people were running and walking. I don't know the situation in Japan, but many people were running compared to Japan. Anyway, less than 10% of people wear a mask on the outside.
My son asked us to have the ice cream in George and Davis, so we bought a scoop of vanilla and chocolate. On the way home, we bought wraps at the Opera. We totally 7,500 steps' walk to our house. Jericho street was active compared to the last year because retail shops opened, and cafes and restaurants prepared for the terrace to take lunch and supper, which the UK government permitted. However, these restaurants open at noon, so it's better to be careful the time to go to Jericho street.
Because of heavy rain, a football club was postponed, so we stayed at home in the morning. However, in the afternoon, even it was cold, we went to the Portmeadow on the new boots. Maybe I have some kinds of a habit of walking, so it was easy for me to correct my walking style with boots. Because my son was tired because of walking long distance, so had a bad mood the night.
From the 17th May, except night club, almost all shops will open. And also it will become the half-term at the end of May. So we planned to go to London. Though I couldn't anticipate the plan during the half term, many bookings have already sold out.
I had finished my manuscript. Thinking of the number of characters, there was no problem. However, I wrote about twice as many characters I was asked to write, so it took much time to reduce the characters.
Let's calm down and review it tomorrow before sending it. Even so, a lot of work went on while my son went to primary school. It is said that there are clusters of childcare facilities in Japan, and there is a possibility that the nursery schools will be closed at this rate. That will stop the economy.
It was the 10th day of the quarantine, which the UK government request us to stay at home. Since we had a test to release and the test on the 8th day was negative, it was no problem. As usual, I send my son to the primary school in the morning and bought the cafe latte.
After coming home, I checked the article of my doctoral student and sent it with comments. Then I wrote my article about the diversity and way of working in Japanese companies. I made a table about the usage of telework per week and the usage of hours of telework per day. The most number of combinations is 2days per week and 6-8hours per day, which shows 16.8%.
After my son coming home, my son brought us a letter written in Japanese, which means a friend said a baby was born from his mother. Though there were mistakes about Japanese characters, I was surprised to see my son understood what the friend said and translated the content into Japanese.
