DAY340 [渡英315日] 2021年3月6日（土）：平成狸合戦ぽんぽこ

　学校再開直前の週末。返信が出来なていなかったメールを書く。昨日は息子が早く起きてても相手をすることができなかったので，息子の起床とともに息子がやりたがっていたお魚釣りのゲームをする。といっても，6月14日の記事に掲載したように既製品ではなく，息子の描いた魚を釣るというもの。

　午前中，息子が絵具で絵を描きたいというので，宇宙戦艦ヤマトを描く。昼食後は，スタジオジブリの『平成狸合戦ぽんぽこ』を観る。自分が記憶にあった時とは違う感じがするのは，自分が大人になったからか，それとも海外版と日本版で何か違うのか？

　ストーリーは，多摩ニュータウンの建設ラッシュに伴い，自然が失われていく過程を動物の視点から描いた映画だが，大人になった今はむしろ変身できる狸たちが都会のラッシュや喧噪に順応せざるをえない様子の方が刺さる。強者が弱者を呑み込む過程で弱者を否応なく従わせる様子，結局，狸たちがしたことの『意図せざる結果』などが印象に残る。建設現場（山の切り崩しなど）は，狸たちにとってはハード面の変化だが，テレビに夢中になったり，Hamburgerを有難がって食べる様子は，ソフト面での侵略のようにも思える。

　狸たちが開発をやめさせるために「化け学」を用いた結果，3名の工事現場の作業員を死亡させている事実はあまり映画では取り上げられておらず，ややスルーされている。 

　This is the last weekend before the primary school reopen. I had written emails to which I couldn't reply. Though I couldn't play with my son because of writing emails, I played a fishing game with my son. As I mentioned on the 14th in June, we drew fish by ourselves. Then my son wanted to draw a picture, so we drew the space battleship Yamato.
After lunch, we watched "Heisei Tanuki Battle Pompoko", produced by Studio Ghibli. I felt the contents of the movie slightly different. Was that because I had grown up or because of the differences Japanese version and the overseas version?
This movie dealt with the construction site of TAMA city. As to the construction undergoes, raccoons were gradually kicked out of their hometown by humans. I was impressed that raccoons which could transform into human have to adapt to human society; that is, the strong defeat the weak in a quite intervention. In the end, the results were "unintended consequences" of what the raccoons did were impressive. The fact that the employees are killed because raccoons had surprised human didn't focus on in the movie.
