DAY411 [渡英357日] 2021年5月16日（日）：息子を叱る，The Medley Beer Garden, Thomas & Friends - Marvellous Machinery
今日は，息子が朝からiPadを観たいというので時間を決めて見せているものの，いつも言われた通りの時間を守らないため，ipadを取り上げて一日使用させないことにした。最近，iPad中毒とも言えるような状況にあり，すぐにiPadが観たいというし，ダメだというとすぐに癇癪をおこす。他方で，現在は仮住まいのため，本をたくさん買う訳にはいかず，どうしてもkindleやwebでの本が中心になるので，iPadを活用せざるを得ない。
昼食後，家族でPort Meadowに散歩した際に新しく開店したcafeを発見。アスパラガスやラズベリーを取りに行ったMedley Manor Farmが運営しているBeer Garden。日本のデパートの屋上にある人工芝のビアガーデンではなく，本物の芝でテムズ川をみながらのんびりとアルコールを飲める。近辺にはトイレがないし，トイレに立ち寄る意味でも，散歩して喉の渇きをいやす意味でも，絶好のポジションに店が構えられている。私は，Boat Race Ragerをオーダー。帰宅途中でPort Meadowの入り口でアイスクリームの移動販売車があり，息子のリクエストに応じてソフトクリームを購入。￡3近くしたものの，生クリームを冷やしたようなアイスで口に入れるとバターっぽい風味が口に広がる。
帰宅途中に息子の友達とその兄に出会い，息子は家の前でテニスを教えてもらった。しばらく遊んでいると雨が降ってきたので，各自家の中に退散。我が家では，Thomas & Friends - Marvellous Machineryを鑑賞。これは新幹線のケンジが出てくるので，息子が楽しみにしていた劇場版。日本が技術大国であるという認識で世界一速いケンジがソドー島にやってくる。でも，空飛ぶ車とか，ロボットとかの世界観と蒸気機関車の世界観は両立できるのだろうか。トーマスが夢想していたように，乗客の一人一人がロケットを背負って移動できるようになったら蒸気機関車はいらなくなってしまう。
※日本では2021年3月に公開されているのでamazonではまだないが，UKではレンタルできる。
明日はナイトクラブを除く経済活動が復活する。いよいよ平常運転の生活に戻る（ナイトクラブは我々に関係ないので）。
From the morning, my son wanted to use the iPad. Though I called for him to watch for 20 minutes every time, he didn't promise the time. So I had my son not use the iPad for a day. Recently, such as iPad toxic, he soon wanted to watch iPad, and if he didn't use the one, he got a tantrum. On the other hand, we temporarily live here, so we don't have to afford many things. We cannot help heavily relying on the iPad.
After lunch, we went to Port Meadow and found the new cafe, which managed by Medley manor, where we once bought asparagus and took raspberry. Different from the Japanese Beer Garden, it was the real garden with watching the Thems river. Because there was no loo and the cafe, it was a nice position. I ordered Boat Race Rager.
On the way to the house, we met my son's friends and her brother, and his brother taught my son tennis. After finishing the play because of raining, we watched Thomas & Friends - Marvellous Machinery. In this movie, Kenji, the Japanese rapid train, joined. This movie introduced that Japan has a developed technology. However, though there is a flying car and a robot in the movie, I think it isn't easy to coexist with the steam engine world.
