DAY354 [渡英328日] 2021年3月20日（土）：帰国に向けた荷物梱包，玄関前の剪定・裏庭の芝の手入れ

　一時帰国準備に向けて荷物を梱包。我が家の洗濯機は恐ろしく低性能で1回2時間かかるうえ，生地へのダメージがすごいので帰国時に捨ててくることを想定しつつ，本当の帰国時に荷物が多くならないように，こちらに持ち込み過ぎた洋服をいくつか日本に持ち帰っておく必要がある。

　それらに加えて3日間の強制隔離の間に何が提供されるのかを考えて食料，場合によっては子供用の食器を持参しないといけない。よくある情報では，提供されるお弁当がガッツリ系で重い。ジュースに選択肢がない，など。最大の問題は，子供を3日間強制隔離をさせる間の遊び道具。塗り絵は持ったが，トラベル用のボードゲームでも買うか…。

　VISA申請でしばらく英国の家を後にするために玄関前の植物の剪定をしたり，裏庭を芝刈り機で手入れ。帰宅後にどれだけ芝生が伸びているかによって前の借主がきちんと芝を刈って出て行ったのかを検証することができる。

　本当は日本に帰りたくないが，VISAの期日が決まっているので，粛々と行動するしかない。ただ，英国から日本の様子を見ていると，動きが遅く，これといった対策がなくとちぐはぐな印象を受ける。

　Preparing for going back to Japan temporary, we packaged our luggage. Since a washing machine made in the UK works so roughly, and it takes two hours at one time, there is terrifying damage to the laundries. That's why I think I will throw these laundries away in Japan, and I will bring some of them not to much luggage when I go back to Japan.

　Besides, the Japanese government requests us to stay for three days as a quarantine, but we don't know what food will be supplied, so we have to prepare dishes for them.
Many people on the internet say meals are not healthy(oily), there only orange juice, etc. The biggest problem is what to play with while the kids are in enforced isolation for three days. I have some colouring books, but I'll have to buy some travel board games...

　I pruned the plants in front of the front door and took care of the back garden with a lawnmower, as I had to leave the UK for a while to apply for a VISA. I can verify whether the previous tenant mowed the lawn properly or not by seeing how much the lawn has grown when I come home.

　I really don't want to go back to Japan, but I have to act solemnly as my VISA is due. However, looking at Japan's situation from the UK, I feel that things are moving slowly, and there are no proper measures in place.
