I continue pruning the ivy on the fence in the garden, which is difficult because it is destroying the fence, but also because the ivy is preventing it from collapsing. After pruning, we go shopping at Branca. I buy some leftover duck confit from the weekend package, but the taste is generally strong.

In the afternoon, I take my son to play tennis on the doorstep, and then we go to the park to play. There are about five groups of children of the same age (and their parents) at the park, including some of my son's friends and the children from across the street, and we play until after 16:00, changing the groups from to time. His tone of voice and behaviour are influenced by the friends he plays with, and that his socialization is improving.

Because we were tired and the lunch meal was too heavy, we ordered Japanese food. I ordered SHINJapanese Kitchen & Bar, which I've never ordered before. We also tried the ramen soup. As it turned out, it was OK, but the ramen was "bari-hard", as pork ramen is called, so the noodles were powdery if you didn't soak them in the soup for a while.

After the meal, we watched "Princess Mononoke" with my family until the middle of the movie. Iron = human society (Tatara iron?) (Tatara iron manufacturing?) is encroaching on the world of Animism (nature worship = polytheism). The film depicts (as I understand it) how Ashitaka, a believer in Animism, wavers between human society and the world of polytheism.

By the way, I remembered that one of my former colleagues was writing a thesis on ecological economics based on "Princess Mononoke". I don't know when the story is set, but it depicts when women took the initiative in various situations.
