DAY344 [渡英319日] 2021年3月10日（水）：来年度のVISAに向けた飛行機予約，修了生との会話，Taberu（3回目）
午前中，MBAの修了生とzoomで会話。研究について興味深い議論が出来たし，私がこの分野についてもう少し勉強しないといけないと思った。詳しく書けないがかなり面白い分野であると思う。
午後は，VISA申請に向けてチケットの予約をする。これが悪戦苦闘。JALの予約をしようとしたものの，なぜかウェブでは上手く申請できなかった。ロングステイ運賃を選択すると，選びたい飛行機が出てこないし，前後の日を選択しても飛行機が出てこない。そこでJAL予約センター（ロンドン）の日本語専用番号に電話。
分かったこと。
１．日本から（＝日本のサイト）から予約する必要がある
２．電話で行った予約は電話でしか変更できない。クレジットカードによる支払いも電話で行うしかない。逆にwebで行った場合は，webで変更できる。
３．電話の場合は，登録手数料として￡40/人かかる。
４．日本国内を経由する場合，予約を分割しないと出てこない便がある。
例えば，福岡→羽田→ヒースロー ⇔ヒースロー→羽田→福岡の場合，区間を分けて記入することで，福岡-羽田を前日入りして乗り継ぐなどのチョイスが可能になる。
５．差額を払い，座席に余裕があれば上位クラスへの互換は可能。下位互換はない。
６．エコノミースタンダード：滞在期間3日～12か月
エコノミーセミフレックス：滞在期間2日～12か月
エコノミーフレックス：滞在期間1日～12か月
上記のような情報を聞き出したものの，結局２．の話と，webで同じようにできることを確認し，長時間をかけて聞いてもらったのに「webで申請します」ということでゴメンナサイをした。
息子が帰宅後は，息子と遊ぶものの，最近息子のipad中毒がひどい。時間を決めて瞬間的にはやめるものの，その後ぐずって癇癪を起してしまう。インセンティブの逆機能が働いている。夕方，デリバリーの Taberu - Japanese Restaurantを注文。和食を堪能したが，以前よりも寿司飯が柔らかい（＝粘り気）がある気がする。
In the morning, I had a conversation with a graduate MBA student via zoom. We had an interesting discussion about research, and I realized that I need to learn more about this field.
In the afternoon, I booked a ticket for my VISA application. I tried to make a reservation with JAL, but for some reason, I couldn't get it to work on the web. When I selected the long-stay fare, the flight I wanted to take did not appear, and when I selected the day before or after, the flight did not appear. So I called JAL Reservation Center (in London) for Japanese.
Here's what I found out written below;
1. I need to book from Japan (i.e., Japanese website)
2. Reservations made over the phone can only be changed over the phone. Credit card payments also can only be made over the phone. On the other hand, if we make a reservation on the web, we can change it on the web.
3. If we make a reservation by phone, a registration fee of ￡40/person will be charged.
4. If we are flying through Japan, we may have to split your reservation.
For example, if we are flying from Fukuoka to Haneda to Heathrow ⇔ Heathrow to Haneda to Fukuoka, it is possible to make a connection between Fukuoka and Haneda the day before by entering the segments separately.
5. If we pay the difference and have enough seats, we can transfer to a higher class. There is no backward compatibility.
Economy Standard: stay period 3 days to 12 months
Economy Semi-Flex: stay from 2 days to 12 months
Economy Flex: Length of stay 1 day to 12 months
Although I got the above information out of her, I ended up talking about 2. and confirming that it could be done the same way on the web, and even though she spent a long time listening to me, I was sorry and would apply on the web.
After my son came home, I played with him, but he has been very addicted to his iPad lately. I set a time and started to play with him, but he got upset and threw a tantrum. The reverse function of incentives is at work.
