DAY242 [渡英219日] 2020年11月28日（土）：クリスマスツリーの購入
午前中にCutteslowe park内にある非営利の園芸屋さんにクリスマスツリーを買いに行く。お目当ては5フィートだが，結構大きく，私の身長以上ある。クリスマスツリーは木の種類と大きさによるが，私が購入したのは￡25なので割安感がある。木を立てる土台（￡20)やマット，装飾品も買うとなると出費がかさむ。
ただ，週末にもかかわらず店員が1名（レジと含めて2名）しかおらず，接客が追い付かない。人によっては木を見比べたり，店員からコメントをもらいながら購入をするので，1件あたりに時間がかかし，店員が声をかけられたらその都度対応してしまうので，なかなか終わらない。予想以上に手間取って終了。購入したツリーをネットに入れてもらい駐車場まで手で運ぶがかなりの重労働（明日はきっと筋肉痛だ）。
帰宅後，装飾品が届くまでツリーを庭に立てて保管。人によっては虫や汚れを落とすために洗った方がよいということで息子と一緒に水で洗浄。すでにお昼を超えていたので昼食はThe Anchorのステーキパイとチキンパイを購入してサッとすます。
慣れない車の運転もあり疲れたけど，息子が喜んでくれてよかった。
In the morning, we went to a gardener shop managed by a non-profit organization in Cutteslowe park to buy a Christmas tree. Though we would like to buy a 5ft Christmas tree, the tree was taller than I. The price depends on the kinds and the hight of tress, so I bought £25. I think the tree was reasonably prised, thinking of the purchasing pod and decorations, it took costs.
Despite the weekend, there was only one Clark(including a cashier totally two), the customer service didn't function.
It took time to buy a tree because some people compare with and ask advice for the Clark. To be worse, the Clark consulted each time whenever he was called. It took more time than I expected. I had the purchased tree put on the net and carried it to the parking lot by hand, that it was a lot of hard work (I'm sure it will be a muscle pain tomorrow).
After going home, the tree was kept in the garden until decorations arrive. Some people should wash it with water to remove insects and dirt, so I washed it with my son. It was already past noon, so my wife went to the Anchor to buy a steak pie and a chicken pie. Although I was tired because I was not used to driving, I was delighted my son was happy.
