DAY149 [渡英128日] 2020年8月27日（木）Oxford University Newcomers Club face to face chat at Oxford University park
今日は，OUNCが外で対面で茶話会を行うということで息子を連れて参加。待ち合わせ場所を勘違いしてしまい，しばらく方々を彷徨ったが，無事到着。男性は私だけで，新人は私の他もう一人であった。とはいえこの一人もLeedsに住んでいて旦那さんがテニュアを取得したために移動してきた方なので，non-Englishではない。集まりには子供はおらず息子一人だけだったが，参加者の一人が遊び道具を持ってきてくれていたので，息子はそれで遊んで喜んでいた。また，2名のご婦人が息子と遊んでくれたので，息子も飽きずに過ごすことができたし，雨も降らずに何とか持ってくれた。
お昼に集まりが終わると，昼食を買いに公園近くのCafe（Taylors Deli 31 St Giles）でブリト―を購入。このお店以前は閉まっていたけど，オープンした模様。
何だか気疲れしたのか，英語をたくさん使ったからなのか，猛烈な睡魔に襲われる。
ICPSRの機関接続が完了。
In the morning, my son and I went to Oxford University Park to join a face to face chat with OUNC members. Because I misunderstood the place we would meet, it took time to arrive. Though there was no man except my son and me, we met a newcomer from Leeds whose husband has got tenure at Oxford and moved here.
Because one of the participants brought play equipment for kids, and also two women play with my son, he was delighted and had fun. Fortunately, it was not raining until we finished the chat. After finishing the chat, we bought burritos near the park, which once closed.
I felt tired and became sleepy because I spoke a lot of English with strangers. I could connect my account with the ICPSR member institution.
