DAY263 [渡英240日] 2020年12月19日（土）：Tree Artisan Caféのバケットサンド
今日から息子の冬休みのため，日中は何もできない。日中は晴れ間がのぞいた午前中に息子と家の前でテニスをする。といってもまだ息子は何も知らないのでボールを当てるだけの遊び。この寒空に息子は「アイスクリームが食べたい」とのたまうので，アイスクリーム屋さんに散歩をしつつ，ランチを購入。まだ行ったことのないTree Artisan Caféでバケットサンドをtakeawayし，隣のワインショップでスパークリングを1本購入。バケットサンドは素材にこだわったお店で美味しかった。
午後，お向かいのお家の子供たちがクリスマスプレゼントを届けに来てくれたのと，息子のbabysitterがクリスマスカードを届けてくれた。嬉しい限り。お向かいの子供の語彙力が増えているのを目の当たりにして，息子の語彙力の伸び率にやや焦りを感じる。
それにしても渡英して約8か月。あっという間に時間が過ぎ去っていて，気ばかりが焦る。少しは成長しているのだろうか？日々〆切やto doに何かに追われている感覚しかないが，他方で日中は子供との時間なので，何かをする時間もない。今は3時から4時に起きているが，2時くらいに起きた方がよいかもしれない。
[研究] 新しい研究を閃いたので早速データを作ってみよう。
This is the first day of my son's winter vacation, so I can't do anything. During the day time, I played tennis with my son in front of the gate. Since even the chilly weather, he wanted to eat ice cream; we took a walk around Jericho to buy lunch as a takeaway. We went to Tree Artisan Café to buy bucket sandwich as takeaway and bought a sparkling wine next to the cafe. The bucket sandwich used good materials, so it tasted good.
In the afternoon, kids living in front of my house came to visit and gave Christmas presents for my son, and the babysitter came and gave him a card, too. Seeing the increasing vocabularies of kids, I worried about my son not increasing his vocabularies than his friend.
