DAY360 [渡英334日] 2021年3月26日（金）：PCR検査の結果，学校終了。明日からEasterに突入
昼過ぎごろ，PCRの結果が届き，家族みなnegativeであった。これでとりあえず飛行機が飛べばまずは日本に一時帰国できる。何度も言うが，このタイミングでできることなら帰国したくないし，ロンドンあたりで更新できるのならそれに越したことはない。
息子が学校に行っている間に帰国の準備にいそしむ。いまのところ不確定要素は，以下4つ。
１．ビザセンター閉鎖によりVISA申請ができない，受付をしない
２．日本の出国禁止もしくは英国の入国禁止
３．VISA申請の却下
４．家族の誰かが感染
今のところ英国の感染者数および死亡者数は減少稿傾向にあるものの，世界的には感染者数は増加傾向で第4波の可能性があり，そうなると１．や２．の可能性もないわけでない。そのためどこまでの荷物を持ち帰ればよいのかを迷う。最悪，１．や２．になった場合，空き家に家賃が発生し続けるため，それなら契約を解除し，家に残ったものは委託業者に処分してもらう必要が出てくる。恐らく旅行ビザで入国して片づけをすることになるだろう。3日間の強制隔離の間の食料をどうしようかなど悩みは尽きない。

今日で学校は一区切りでEaster vacationに入る。whatsappでは休みの間，子供たちをどこのキャンプに入れるかという情報が飛び交っているが，息子は一時帰国なので蚊帳の外。学校の終わりに担任の先生が息子が一時帰国することを言ったそうだが，どのように言っていたのだろうか？戻ることを前提とした話をしてくれるとよいのだが…。それとも戻ってくることが難しいことを前提に話しているのだろうか。
学校は，Easter vacationを挟んでいるのに，VISA申請による一時帰国を2週間しか認めず，その期限を守れなければ除籍というのは，コロナの隔離期間を入れると相当難儀。他の親たちも口々に同じことを言っている。
英国に帰国した後の隔離期間短縮のためのPCR検査の予約もしないと。
Around mid-afternoon, I received my PCR test results, which showed that all my family members were negative. Now we can go back to Japan if the plane flies. As I keep saying, I don't want to go back to Japan at this timing even if the UK government allowed it because of COVID-19.
While my son was at school, I worked on preparing for my return. At the moment, I was worried about the four scenarios:
1. Visa applications cannot be made or will not be accepted due to the visa centre's closure.
2. a ban on leaving Japan or entering the UK
3. Visa application rejected.
4. a member of the family is infected.
Although the number of infected people and deaths in the UK is currently on a downward trend, the number of infected people worldwide increases, and there is a possibility of a fourth wave, which could lead to 1. or 2. So we are not sure how much we should bring home. The worst-case scenario is 1. or 2., in which case we will have to cancel the contract and have the contractor dispose of what is left in the house, as we will still have to pay rent on the empty house, and we also will have to worry about what to eat during the three days of enforced quarantine.
Today is the last day of school, and we are on Easter vacation; there is a lot of information on WhatsApp about where the kids will be camping during the holiday, but my son is out of the topic as he will go back to Japan temporarily. At the end of the school day, his teacher told his classmates that he was going back home. What did she say? I hope she told them that he would have to come back. It is quite difficult when we include Corona's quarantine period, when the Easter vacation is coming up, and when the primary school only allows two weeks to apply for a VISA to return home and expel us if you don't meet the deadline. Other parents have said the same thing.
We have to make an appointment for a PCR test to shorten the quarantine period after returning to the UK.
